Hi Vultures,
Just a quick update for all those who have signed up for the Summer season. As previously communicated, the extended season, intended to kick off 8 August, has been impacted by the latest round of COVID related restrictions in Melbourne. We have been advised that planning is underway for the season to now start on Monday 5 October, which is the first week of Term 4 and in line with a regular Summer season.
Obviously, things are pretty fluid at the moment, so this date may shift if we have an extended lockdown period. We’ll update everyone if we hear this is going to change.
We can also let you know that as this is now back to a regular Summer season and not an extended one, the decision was also made by MEBA to revert to the normal age groups and not hold over the Winter groupings. As a result, we will now begin work again on forming teams and our intent is to distribute these once we have a confirmed start.
