New Vultures Award Voting

We hope you have had a great start to the season so far!!

With the change of age groups this season and the introduction of some age splits that we have not had before, the Vultures Committee has had a chance to discuss some of the Awards and many of the alternate options. We have many views on awards throughout the club, such as; who should vote, which rounds should be included, which age groups should get MVP and which are for enjoyment only, and what the club should be valuing as an Award (Defense? Passing? Team Work? etc).

So for Summer 24/25 we are changing the award system to include additional categories that can reward an array of players, such as the tireless defensive player that may not be the MVP, or your player who pumps up the team and gets them all going, or maybe it is your MVP! You can choose and you can add the story around these players and what they have achieved for the season.

Some of the finer points are:

• Coaches will choose the 2 award recipients per team
• Coaches will choose what the award is for from the allocated list
• Votes are NOT required to be entered or recorded anymore
• The award is based on the whole season
• The awards will be submitted via Google form on March 9, 2025 by either the team manager or coach
• Awards will be ready for the coach to present in team groups at the Summer Presentation day

Below is the current award selection list, but if you are a coach and would like another award added, please complete the Google form below and we will add it to our list!

• Coaches Award
• Team Spirit Award
• Best Defensive Player
• Best Team Player
• Most Determined Player
• Most Improved Player

Please share this information with the parents in your teams, and also the kids if you want to use the awards as a motivational tool for a specific skill such as defence or passing.
